About ImageDXF

ImageDXF is a small, independent tool for people who make things: laser-cutting shops, sign makers, metal artists, woodworkers and hobbyists who need a clean DXF from a logo, drawing or picture.

Most online converters treat DXF as just another file format. They change the file extension, but the result still needs work in CAD: outlines with gaps, random sizes, thousands of tiny segments. We built ImageDXF around the job you actually have — getting a file your machine can cut — so it produces closed outlines, lets you set the real size, and checks for details too small to survive the cut.

How it works

Your image is converted to black and white in the browser, then traced by VTracer, an open-source vectorizer compiled to WebAssembly. The outlines are simplified, scaled to your chosen size and written as DXF — all on your own device. Nothing is uploaded.
